Subbu, Seawood#
My 6 year old daughter Tanu always had an affinity for birds. Ever since she watched the Super Star movie 2.0 .She had been pleading us to get a pair of Cockatiel birds. I finally caved in and bought a pair. We named the birds Pakshi and Vashi inspired by the movie.
Pakshi & Vashi
My daughter was so excited to have her own pair of birds. She would spend hours just watching them and talking to them. Pakshi and Vashi seemed to respond to her; they would sing and dance when she talked to them. My daughter's fascination for birds soon became contagious. she was always talking to him and trying to teach him tricks. It's amazing to watch her interacting with him, and it's one of the few times she is completely focused and engaged. her birds explored new places and made countless memories. It's also been a great motivator for me.
Having a pet can be a great way to relax, especially during the pandemic when many of us have been spending too much time glued to our gadgets. They are such bright and vibrant creatures and they bring us so much joy.
I found myself getting more and more interested in birds as well. I started researching about cockatiel birds and their kinds
Cockatiels, also known as Nymphicus hollandicus, are one of the most popular pet birds in the world. This small parrot species is native to Australia and is known for its friendly and social personality. . Cockatiels are known for their love of interacting with humans. They are highly intelligent and can be taught to do a variety of tricks. Cockatiels also possess an impressive vocal range and can mimic human speech.
Overall, cockatiels are a perfect choice for bird lovers who are looking for a companion bird. They are friendly
I even started visiting the nearby bird farms to learn more about bird rearing and breeding.
Things were moving beautifully but one day we experienced a deep depression when one of the birds suddenly flew away. We searched all around the house & our apartment, but could not find her. We were devastated. We decided to purchase another bird to keep vashi company. We named her "Nila" and took extra precautions to make sure she’s not lost.
We were so relieved when she stayed safely in the cage. Slowly, we started learning more about the birds' behaviour and looking after them. We made sure their cages were set up according to their natural habitats, and that they were given a healthy diet. As days became months, and months became years, our birds bonded with each other and eventually, they laid four eggs. We were so excited! After 21 days of incubation, one of the eggs hatched and out came a tiny, fluffy bird. We were fascinated as we watched the father, Vashi, lovingly feed the chick with his beak.
It was like watching a nature show on the Discovery Channel. Since then, our interest in birds has only grown. Before Ending my story, I had saved up enough money to buy my own bird farm. I had a few different varieties of birds living in my farm, from cockatiel breed to Sun conures variety.
