Tanjore Paintings

 As an artist, I have always had a deep passion for creating art. Ever since I was young, I was drawn to various art forms such as acrylic painting, pastel art, and pencil sketching. However, it was Tanjore painting that truly captured my heart.

Despite my love for other art forms, there was something unique and special about Tanjore painting that I couldn't resist. I was fascinated by the intricate details, vibrant colors, and the use of gold foils and precious stones. I started learning the art form at the age of 18.

Over the years, I have continued to explore and refine my skills in Tanjore paintings.As my expertise grew, so did my passion for this art form. I began receiving orders from people who were impressed by my work and wanted to own a piece of Tanjore art. Creating custom Tanjore paintings is now a part of my life as a part time profession. I spend several hours meticulously sketching, colouring, and embellishing each piece, ensuring that it meets my high standards of satisfaction.

For me, creating Tanjore paintings is more than just a profession - it is a labor of love that allows me to express my creativity and connect with my cultural roots. Through my art, I hope to preserve and promote this ancient Indian tradition, ensuring that it continues to inspire and enchant generations to come.

Creating Tanjore paintings is a time-consuming process that requires a great deal of patience and attention to detail. However, the end result is a stunning and timeless work of art that captures the beauty and rich cultural heritage of India.

While my love for other art forms remains, there is something truly special about Tanjore painting that continues to inspire me. Through my art, I hope to share the beauty and cultural significance of this ancient Indian tradition with the world.

In a gated community like ours, I often wonder how we practice co-existence in a way that does not lead to friction or misunderstandings with others around us. There is an interesting idea in psychology called “Both/and Thinking”. It talks about how two seemingly contradictory thoughts can co-exist. Many times, we follow a rigid way of thinking when it comes to expressing our ideas or emotions. We go by the “either-or”, ”Black or white” or “all or nothing” formula. This means that between two ideas or points of view, one cannot exist while the other does. It’s a surprise that our minds sometimes look at every scenario dichotomously.
