Cherish & Nourish!

"Appreciate everything, even the ordinary... Especially the ordinary".

                                     Pema Chodron

We've all felt it time and again! We've all experienced the sheer rawness of it!  We've all crossed the threshold only to return gleefully! This time round, leaving India (even if for a few months)  felt like leaving home and going to a boarding school.

Since we got to Toronto I've been home(sick). Despite a glorious spring waiting to explode, the heart can't stop smiling looking at how much of India I see around me in the nostalgic 70 year old Chan(d) Sarkar, chatty Delhi teenagers and upbeat Indian music infiltrating Uni food courts. It's like a mela!!!

Even as the hot and cold weather continue to have a face off, there is a resilience that's accepting of everything happening around.  An unscheduled trip to Toronto by itself could have thrown me off a few years ago and yet here I am experiencing a flow that's so reassuring. What is this new attitude i seem to adorn? What is the emotion that's holding it together? An optimism so infectious?

Peeking through my old mindset of material  conditioning is a strong thread of GRATITUDE and ACCEPTANCE. It's not like everything is going perfectly, yet it's not unnerving. Things are moving forward as per what the Universe is guiding, not hurried, not late. JUST!

Laws of nature in beautiful symphony,

urging me, Just Be!

Delayed response it seems

You, Just Be!

Many anxious moments

But, Just Be!

Shuttling between accommodations

Just Be!

Empty minutes, minor chores

Watch life unfolding

Just Be!

Trickery of mind rendered useless

Cherish the Nothingness

Nourish your Soul
